Two mammothly sad pieces of news for our sport within 12 hours of each other.
Paddling legend, Mark Perrow, was flying his light plane in the Umkomaas valley yesterday morning at around 11 o'clock when it collided into a cliff and burst into flames.
His body was recovered at around 6 o'clock on Sunday evening.
Also on Sunday evening, President Ramaphosa put a lid on the number of people who are allowed to attend the same gathering.
This decision ostensibly means the cancellation of all canoeing events where more than 100 people will be gathered in the same place at the same time. |
