Simon Van Gysen lays down marker at Pink Lady
Day 2 of the 2016 Pink Lady/Drakenstein K1 canoe race, held of the 36.6km section of the Berg River, from 500, upstream of the Daljosaphat Weir in Paarl to Botmansdrift, was so different for Day 1 of the event that it could have led to some paddlers wondering if it they were paddling on the same river and in the same country! This because the promised (by the weather offices) cold front arrived in the Western Cape yesterday evening and persisted all day today. Read the full story here.
