McGregor & Hartley crowned Africa’s best
At a gala dinner in Hillcrest on Sunday evening, South African paddling icons Hank McGregor and Bridgitte Hartley were named African Canoe Federation’s Men’s and Women’s Paddler of the Year for 2015, bringing down the curtain on the 2016 ICF Canoe Sprint African Championships held at Shongweni Dam this past weekend. Tunisian paddlers star at African Champs second day
Tunisia has reason to celebrate after Saturday’s second day’s racing of the 2016 ICF Canoe Sprint African Championships at Shongweni Dam, KwaZulu-Natal saw the North African country’s sprint paddlers secure two of the four Olympic Games qualification berths up for grabs, three African Championship titles and nine Continental medals. The BASF Watuni Novice Race is coming up on 16 April. It will be the first race of the 20167/17 season and is open to all, NOT JUST NOVICES. Entries can be found here.
