Whilst most of us are ecstatic about being allowed to race again, the revised calendar is playing havoc with our paddling budgets.

Under normal circumstances, the major races are spread out over the year, with a big one taking place every month or so.

We now have a situation where the Dusi, the Umko, the Non-Stop and the SA surfski champs are taking place within 3 weeks.

The organisers of the SA Surfski championships have shot out of the blocks and are talking a very big game.
